Why Meal Plan?

I’m positive you know the feeling: You get home from work and realize you have no idea what to make for dinner. Nor do you have the ingredients for any real dinner recipes… Yeah, we hated that too!

That’s where Project Meal Plan comes in! From meal planning templates to meal prep recipes, I want to give you the tools to make meal planning work for your family. Your meal plan is a food roadmap to reduce stress, NOT a strict set of rules to make you feel guilty!

Helpful Tips to Get Started

If you’re new to meal planning, it might seem a little intimidating! Here are some general tips to keep in mind as you start your meal planning journey.

If planning three meals a day seems like too much, I recommend starting with the biggest meal of the day, usually dinner. It gets easier, I promise! Browse all my dinner recipe ideas!

You should plan on using your freezer for freezer meals, prepared meal components, and leftovers to keep some variation in your meals. Browse all my freezer friendly recipes!

Instead of printing a new meal planner template every month or week, try laminating the printable and using a dry erase marker to meal plan. Learn how I did it here!

Leave Room For Spontaneity & Take Out
